"The Oslo District Court confirms our right to challenge the government's decision in court. That is an important win. The court also agrees that the case raises an important question that WWF Norway has good reason to challenge legally. The court therefore exempts WWF Norway from legal costs," says Karoline Andaur, CEO of WWF-Norway.

The Oslo District Court did not find sufficient reason to invalidate the decision.

"We disagree with this part of the court's reasoning and will carefully review its reasoning to determine whether to appeal," Andaur says.

"We will carefully review its reasoning to determine whether to appeal" says Karoline Andaur, CEO of WWF-Norway.

It is crucial that before elected representatives make decisions that may have major consequences for nature, adequate investigations must be carried out. The aim of our lawsuit is to ensure that we have the knowledge we need — not to overrule a political decision.

The court's decision is extensive, and we will meticulously review the reasoning to determine whether we wish to appeal.
